PAX A920 Quick Reference Guide

CONFIGURE WI-FI

 

  1. On the terminal’s main screen, touch the Settings icon

  2. On the Settings screen, touch the Please Input Password field and use the keypad to type the password: pax9876@@

  3. Touch the checkmark icon on the keypad when you are done and touch OK

  4. In the Wireless & networks section, touch Wi-Fi

  5. If Wi-Fi is Off, touch the toggle to turn it on. If Wi-Fi is already on, a list of available networks appears.

  6. From the list of available networks, touch the name of the network you want to connect to

  7. Enter the password for the selected network and touch CONNECT. TIP: You can touch Show password before typing to ensure you are entering the password correctly

  8. After the terminal displays CONNECTED for the selected network, touch the BACK icon to return to the SETTINGS screen

  9. Touch the BACK icon again to return to the main screen

 

STANDALONE - CREDIT / DEBIT SALE 

 

  1. Press the blue round button on bottom left

  2. Select CREDIT CARD or DEBIT CARD option

  3. Using the keypad enter the dollar amount to process and touch CONFIRM

  4. Hand over the terminal to the customer

  5. Tap or swipe the card to complete the payment

  6. Once the transaction is complete the success message will be displayed and a receipt will be printed

 

STANDALONE - REFUND DEBIT / CREDIT

 

  1. Open PAX terminal dashboard. This is where you see icons for all the apps installed on the terminal

  2. Open the TSYS BroadPOS app by touching the TSYS BroadPOS icon

  3. Select CREDIT from the top menu

  4. Select RETURN

  5. Enter the amount to refund and touch CONFIRM

  6. Hand over the terminal to the customer

  7. Tap or Swipe the card to complete the payment

  8. Once the transaction is completed the success message will be displayed and a receipt will be printed

 

SEMI INTEGRATED - CREDIT / DEBIT SALE

 

  1. Login to your PayHQ account by following this link – https://hq.payfirma.com

  2. From the left menu select CARD TERMINAL -> SALE Tab

  3. Enter the amount and select the terminal you wish to forward the transaction to

  4. The terminal will receive the sale request. (Make sure that the Merrco app is running on the terminal and it is connected to the Merrco backend.)

  5. Select CREDIT CARD or DEBIT CARD option

  6. Hand over the terminal to the customer

  7. Tap or swipe the card to complete the payment

  8. Once the transaction is complete the success message will be displayed and a receipt will be printed

 

SEMI INTEGRATED - CREDIT / DEBIT REFUND

 

  1. Login to your PayHQ account by following this link – https://hq.payfirma.com

  2. From the left menu select MY TRANSACTIONS

  3. Select the transaction you wish to refund. Click the ISSUE REFUND TRANSACTION button

  4. This brings you to the refund screen. Enter the amount to refund and click the REFUND button

  5. The refund transaction will be sent to the PAX terminal. (Make sure that the Merrco app is running on the terminal and it is connected to the Merrco backend.)

  6. Follow the steps on the terminal to complete the refund

  7. Once the transaction is completed the success message will be displayed and a receipt will be printed

 

SEMI INTEGRATED - CREDIT / DEBIT PRE AUTH

 

  1. Login to your PayHQ account by following this link – https://hq.payfirma.com

  2. From the left menu select CARD TERMINAL -> AUTHORIZE Tab

  3. Enter the amount and select the terminal you wish to pre authorize

  4. The terminal will receive the pre authorize request. (Make sure that the Merrco app is running on the terminal and it is connected to the Merrco backend.)

  5. Select CREDIT CARD or DEBIT CARD option

  6. Hand over the terminal to the customer

  7. Tap or swipe the card to complete the payment

  8. Once the transaction is complete the success message will be displayed, and a receipt will be printed

 

SEMI INTEGRATED - CREDIT / DEBIT CAPTURE

 

  1. Login to your PayHQ account by following this link – https://hq.payfirma.com

  2. From the left menu select MY TRANSACTIONS

  3. Select the transaction you wish to capture. Click the CAPTURE PAYMENT button

  4. This brings you to the capture screen. Enter the amount to capture and click the CAPTURE button

  5. The capture transaction will be sent to the PAX terminal. (Make sure that the Merrco app is running on the terminal and it is connected to the Merrco backend.)

  6. Follow the steps on the terminal to complete the capture

  7. Once the transaction is completed the success message will be displayed and a receipt will be printed
