In 2018, Merrco acquired Payfirma to create Merrco Payfirma. Our value proposition is wrapped around the experience, expertise and audiences in the individual parts of our business service.

Merrco, founded in 2016, is the global leader in compliant cannabis payments. Specifically designed for the cannabis sector, we dominate the Canadian market with >50% national coverage. We help businesses thrive with seamless and secure payment solutions while leveraging our exclusive cannabis partner ecosystem. And, as of April 2021, we are supporting CBD and ancillary cannabis businesses with payment solutions in the U.S. market.
Payfirma, founded in 2010, began as an innovative payments player introducing a fresh perspective to an otherwise conservative industry. We quickly took the payments industry by storm, launching the first mobile payments solution in 2015 and signing several large partners early in our existence.
We are headquartered in downtown Toronto. While this is our official office, we have remote employees in Vancouver, Calgary and New York City. Payfirma focuses on payments processing solutions for small businesses across Canada.
