Merrco Partners with Business of Cannabis for Virtual Cannabis + Technology Conference 2020

Merrco was excited to partner with Business of Cannabis for their first Virtual Cannabis + Technology Conference 2020.

The week long digital event took place from April 13 - 17, 2020 and featured industry panels with thought leaders and companies innovating in the cannabis retail tech space.

Merrco took part in two industry panels during the event:

Rapid Evolution of Retail Through COVID-19

Nearly all Canadian retailers were, and are, laser-focused on in-store consumer experience as the key differentiator to drive consumer engagement. The era of social distancing, cannabis retail being deemed an essential service and the need to serve consumers has created both operating challenges and cannabis tech opportunities. This panel explores how retailers are adjusting, pivoting and executing as it relates to technological integrations happening in real time.

Consumer Education Through COVID-19 panel

This panel explored how retailers are utilizing technology to educate consumers about safe access to legal cannabis and enable cannabis purchasing during the era of social distancing, and beyond. As well, how the cannabis industry has been advocating in unison during these challenging times.
